Supernova donated to Zadar General Hospital
A modern microscope for higher-quality diagnostics
The Supernova Zadar shopping center donated a state-of-the-art Olympus BX46F-1-3 microscope worth €26,590 to Zadar General Hospital. The device has been installed in the Department of Pathology and Cytology, one of the hospital system’s key diagnostic units. The Department of Pathology and Cytology plays an extremely important role in establishing diagnoses, determining therapies, and monitoring treatment success, especially in oncology patients. Although their work rarely attracts broader public attention, pathologists’ findings are crucial for medical decision-making across almost all fields of medicine.
Due to intensive daily use and the large number of samples processed, the existing equipment has been facing technical limitations and obsolescence, which can affect the speed and accuracy of diagnostic procedures.
With this donation, the Supernova Zadar shopping center has once again demonstrated its social responsibility and support for the local community, particularly in the healthcare sector, where investments in modern equipment directly contribute to higher-quality and safer patient care.
